RQM Books maintains an independent logical MongoDB backup layer in private Amazon Web Services object storage, separate from the live application database. Public access is blocked, backup objects use AES-256 server-side encryption, and object versioning is enabled.

Independent logical backups are scheduled every six hours. Successful daily recovery points are retained for 35 days, successful monthly recovery points for 366 days, and backup health is monitored every six hours. The layer is not continuous point-in-time recovery, and no RPO or RTO is guaranteed without a signed service-level agreement.
